Itinerary

You begin your Rajasthan trip for 7 days when you set foot in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Right when you enter the Pink City, you will notice sights that take your breath away, sounds that leave you enchanted, and smells of local street food that blow your mind! Here, your trip starts on a good note!

  • Your designated local representative will pick you up from the airport/railway station/ a pre-determined location.
  • You and the people you are with will be dropped off at the hotel, where you will check into the hotel, unpack, and rest for a while.
  • Your first stop on the journey is Hawa Mahal. This place is also known as the “Palace of Winds.” It is where royal women used to observe street life, without being noticed. Tourists are always seen outside the honeycombed palace, clicking the most cinematic pictures. This is a great place to click photos for Instagram.
  • From there, we walk to the nearby City Palace of Jaipur. It has a mix of Rajputi and Mughal architectural styles, which can be seen in its museums, courtyards, and halls. The palace is open to the public, but is also partially the residence of the royal family of Jaipur. It has been featured in many films and shows such as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Bhool Bhulaiyaan 2, and The Royals on Netflix.
  • Close to the City Palace is Jantar Mantar. It is one of India’s most accurate astronomical sites. It was built in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II. It houses one of the world’s largest stone sundials. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site that allows people to track stars, predict eclipses, and measure time all in one place.
  • From there, we will go to the Govind Devji Temple and attend the evening arti. There is a very interesting story surrounding this holy temple. It is said that the murti of Lord Krishna was moved from Vrindavan to Jaipur, in an attempt to protect it from the Mughal Dynasty’s rule.
  • At night, you will go shopping in one of the famous marketplaces of Jaipur. You will head to Johri Bazaar and find a variety of souvenirs. There is everything from hand-painted textiles to Meenakari jewellery and more. And since Jaipur is considered the gem capital of the world, this is an excellent opportunity to shop for the most exquisite jewellery.
  • Enjoy a delicious meal in a heritage hotel or try local street snacks like kachori, samosa, and ghewar.
  • Head back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

  • The first stop of the day is Amber Fort. This is a UNESCO site, situated on a hilltop. This beautiful fort was created out of red sandstone and marble. It was built by Raja Man Singh. You should explore in the early morning so that you can avoid crowds and beat the heat.
  • Inside the fort is the Sheesh Mahal. This location was used in many famous movies like Bajirao Mastani and Jodha Akbar.
  • Families enjoy going on elephant rides through this famous fort.
  • From there, we head to the Albert Museum. This is one of Rajasthan’s oldest museums and it houses ancient artificats like miniature paintings and armour used by the Maharajas. Many couples come here to take pre-wedding photoshoots.
  • Later that day, walk through the city and stop at the Blue Pottery workshops. The local artisans will tell you about their craftsmanship, leaving you stunned by the process and beauty of the final products.
  • In the evening, we will go to Chokhi Dhani. This is a popular tourist attraction, being a Rajasthan-inspired ethnic village. Their cultural show will keep you dancing and smiling all night long! Today, we move out of the Pink City and into Bikaner. It is known for its Bikaneri Bhujia, Junagarh Fort, and National Research Centre on Camel. It also has amazing Jain temples, intricate havelis, and royal palaces. This day is filled with exploration and history.

  • Wake up early in the morning. Leave Jaipur after breakfast and head to Bikaner. The journey is a 5-6 hour drive.
  • The first stop of the day is Junagargh Fort. This fort was originally named “Chintamani”. It was built by Raja Rai Singh. Inside the fort lie beautiful jewel-like palaces. They are carved with intricate details and have beautifully hand-painted ceilings. This is a great spot to take Instagrammable photos.
  • From there, we go to the Karni Mata Temple. This famous temple is also known as the “Rat Temple.” It is said that a thousand holy rats live inside the temple. These rats are supposed to be the reincarnated devotees of Karni Mata. If you manage to spot a white rat here, you are being blessed by Mata.
  • In the afternoon, we head over to the Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary. It once served as a private hunting ground for Maharajas. Today, tourists from all over come to relax here. Nature lovers have a great time. You can even spot nilgai, antelope, and migratory birds by the lake.
  • After that, we go on a Bikaner Camel Safari across the golden dunes.
  • In the evening, you can explore the old markets of Bikaner. You will find lots of leather footwear, traditional handicrafts, and delicious Bikaneri Bhujia.
  • Have dinner at a heritage restaurant and head back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Bikaner.

Today, we leave Bikaner to travel to Jaisalmer. The Golden City welcomes you with tantalising smells, golden sights, and experiences that are taken out of Disney’s Aladdin. This day is one of the most exciting parts of the trip for many people. It promises endless adventures and surprises.

  • We will now go on a short road trip from Bikaner to Jaisalmer. This journey will take about 5-6 hours.

  • The first stop of the day is the Jaisalmer Fort. Unlike other forts, it is still a living fort. In fact, it’s one of the last living forts of India. Families still reside within the sandstone walls. You can find shops and many temples inside the fort.

  • In the evening, we go to Gadisar Lake. Once upon a time, this was the city’s lifeline. This man-made water reservoir saved Jaisalmer from thirst. Nowadays, tourists come here to relax and stroll among the ghats. You can also enjoy a short boat ride on the lake.
  • At night, have dinner at the hotel you are staying at or go to a rooftop cafe, overlooking the fort.

  • The first stop is Patwon ki Haveli. This is a cluster of five merchant mansions, all owned by five brothers. The details on these havelis are insane.   • We will go on a short road trip from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur. This journey will take about 5-6 hours.
  • Check into your hotel and relax for a little bit.
  • The first stop of the day is Mehrangarh Fort. This fort is on a massive hilltop. It was constructed in 1459 by Rao Jodha. Inside the fort lie many museums and palaces. Some famous palaces here are Phool Mahal and Takht Vilas (a royal bedroom). A fun fact is that “The Dark Knight Rises” was shot here, specifically the famous “pit” sequence.
  • Next, we visit the nearby Jaswant Thada. This is a marble memorial, which was built for Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It is filled with beautiful gardens and a lake view. Kids love to spend their leisure time here.
  • From there, we move to the Umaid Bhawan Palace. This massive palace gleams in sandstone. It is partially open to tourists and partially the residence of the royal family of Jodhpur. Many celebrities have their weddings and birthdays here. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married here!
  • After that, we go to Clock Tower and Sardar Bazaar. Here, you will find a wide variety of Rajasthani handicrafts, spices, and handmade textiles.
