Today is a very exciting day! It is filled with lots of travel, adventure, history, and heritage. You will explore some of the most famous forts, palaces, and historical landmarks of the Pink City. You will be walking a lot today, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes.

  • The first stop of the day is Amber Fort. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is situated on a hilltop. It is in the Aravalli Mountain Range. The beautiful fortress was built by Raja Man Singh. It is best to visit early in the morning so you beat the heat and large crowds.
  • Amber Fort’s Sheesh Mahal has been featured in iconic scenes from films such as Jodha Akbar and Bajirao Mastani.
  • Next, we will visit Jal Mahal. Tourists are not allowed inside the palace. However, the Water Palace is too beautiful a sight not to explore. You can click on some of the most cinematic photographs from your vacation here!
  • Then, we will go to the City Palace. This famous palace is partially open to tourists and partially the home of Jaipur’s royal family. It has the most beautiful blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. This is visible in its many courtyards, halls, and museums.
  • This majestic palace has been featured in popular films and shows such as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Netflix’s The Royals.
  • Nearby is Jantar Mantar. This astronomical observatory is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the 18th century. Inside it lies one of the world’s largest stone sundials. It has been used for centuries to measure time, make astronomical predictions, and predict eclipses.
  • Close by is Hawal Mahal. It is also known as the “Palace of Winds.” Royal women used to view street life from the honeycomb jharokas. It was constructed in a way that it would not be noticed by the public. Today, tourists from around the world come to marvel at this beautiful palace and take cinematic photos.

Today, we will depart Jaipur and go on a road trip to Udaipur. It is also known as the Venice of the East. You will go on a scenic journey through the Aravalli hills, mustard fields, and small villages.

  • We will go to Govind Devji Temple for the morning arti. The mandir is famous for its murti of the child-like version of Lord Krishna. Legend has it that this murti is the closest to his real-life appearance as a child. The murti is said to have been moved from Vrinadavan to protect it from Mughal attacks.
  • Then, we will go on a road trip from Jaipur to Udaipur. This journey will take about 7-8 hours.
  • When you arrive in Lake City, you will check into your hotel.

Today, we will leave Lake City for the only hill station of Rajasthan. The day is more peaceful and slow-paced.

  • We will go on a short road trip from Udaipur to Mount Abu. This journey will take about 3 and a half hours.
  • When you reach Mount Abu, you will check into your hotel first. Unpack and rest for a little bit.
  • Then we will go to Nakki Lake. It is a famous man-made lake that is in the heart of the Aravali Range. There is a lot to do here. You can go boating or shopping in the nearby markets.

Today, we take it easy and explore some of the famous attractions of this hill station. There will be quite a bit of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. The cool air and street food make this day even more memorable.
